Top 10 Places To Read A Book

Reading can be fun no matter where you go but here are some of the very best place you might want to consider settling down with your favorite book.

  1. At home one the couch. Nothing is better than having a nice cup of tea and a little plate of cheese and crackers as you sit home and relax while you read. Draw down the shades, turn off the phone and have some nice quiet time.
  2. In the bathtub! If you can be careful enough to pull this one off you’ll be quite happy with the results. It can be very relaxing to read in the tub just be careful that you don’t drop your book in!
  3. In the library. Who doesn’t enjoy all those books to choose from, comfy armchairs, and peaceful silence. The library is a great place to read for hours without being interrupted.
  4. With friends! This can be at someone's house, on their porch or wherever works for you. Have some nice lemonade and relax with a friend. You can trade books, or read the same one  and maybe even form a book club for your other friends to enjoy too!
  5. Outdoors you can do this in a tent or by a river or in a park. There’s no better place to read then outside because it’s so relaxing and peaceful. You’ll want to pick a day when it’s warm, and sheltered but not one that is super sunny or has a breeze as this can be distracting and it can hurt your eyes. Grab a nice blanket and some snacks and settle in for a lovely time reading.
  6. At the beach. The beach is a popular choice for summer reading and is a great deal of fun. Bring along a few books, some sunscreen, an umbrella or a big hat for shade, and a bottle of water. You may want a little guard for your book as well to keep it from getting wet. Don’t forget your swimsuit!
  7. In the car. Obviously you can’t read while driving but road trips are a great time to catch up on your favorite books and if you have a friend that is willing to do the driving you can easily take some time to read and relax. Just be sure that you don’t get car sick!
  8. At home. Everyone loves to read in the comfort of their own home and it’s lots of fun to snuggle up with a favorite blanket or pillow on your bed and spend some lazy weekend days reading endlessly. Who wouldn’t want to do that?
  9. Bookstores. Bookstores, like libraries, are often filled with people who love books and  can be a lot of fun to the book lover themselves as you’ll be able to sit and enjoy your new book and even find something new and fun to enjoy!
  10.  Cafes. Cafes are a great place to read and many a distinguished novel has been written in them as well. You may have to try a few to find one that you like and that is quiet enough for you to read without being disturbed but once you do it’s well worth the effort!
